Meet Mortimar.

Mortimar is not a character. Mortimar is a question. Who are you beneath the noise? What stirs in the space between thought and breath?
This page explores Mortimar as a timeless force of energy and reflection. First, we uncover the nature of Mortimar as a metaphysical phenomenon: a mirror to the soul, immune to time. Then, we’ll introduce the ongoing anthology series The Disputed Presents: Mortimar, tracing the being’s historical appearances across the world. Finally, we explore the connection between Mortimar and Condücerēs, the rare souls able to bend space and spirit through presence alone.

Mortimar’s true nature is reflective. It is a mirror, not a guide. It offers no answers, only exposure. To look upon Mortimar is to see your unmasked self. And for many, that is unbearable.
Some see their redemption and surrender. Others, their shame, and turn away in fear. Mortimar becomes, to them, a nightmare. A vampire. A demon. An angel. A lover. A threat.
Yet, Mortimar judges nothing. Its presence is neutral, the echo of your internal state, rendered with divine fidelity. As such, it is both a spiritual key and a spiritual test, offering dissolution of ego or deepened entanglement, depending on the observer’s readiness.

Mortimar is not born and will never die. Mortimar exists wholly in the now, a vibration too subtle to be held, too vast to be named. It is the current in the ether between the mortal plane and the spirit plane. A shimmer in the breath. A hum in the stillness.
To those who encounter Mortimar, it appears as male or female, young or old, even beast or shadow. Its form is shaped not by its own will but by the viewer’s unconscious truth. Mortimar does not change... you do.
In essence, Mortimar is the embodiment of presence. It cannot be summoned by force, nor trapped by time. It appears when the veil thins, when a soul is ready or trembling on the edge of readiness.

Mortimar shifts with the soul who sees them... woman, man, beast, shadow. In this short, a young boy deals with the death of his grandpa. Mortimar does not judge. Mortimar reflects, and the reflection changes everything.

MORTIMAR
An Anthology Series Through Time
The Mortimar anthology is a collection of illustrated, oral, and written stories, chronicling appearances of Mortimar across time, space, and culture.
The series began with two ashcan-style introductory books. One featuring Mortimar as male, one as female. These were not origin stories. They were reflections. Invitations. Echoes. Now, the series is expanding. Most arcs in the anthology will span three comic books, with standalone shorts available exclusively through the website and newsletter. A growing roster of artists and storytellers are helping shape these tales, each set in a different historical moment, blending myth, truth, and spiritual initiation. Think of them as fragments of a larger mirror.
Mortimar holds up a mirror to your soul.
One story may take place in plague-ridden 1800s New Orleans. Another in a feudal Japanese village haunted by ancestral shame. Another in an underground alchemical chamber in Renaissance Italy. Are these the stories of Mortimar, or are they the stories Mortimar reveals? Are the monsters real, or are they your reflection?
Condücerēs and the Spiritual Technology of Presence.
Few can engage Mortimar with awareness. Most beings are bound by the five senses, tangled in their timelines and egos. But the Condücerēs, rare souls who carry innate stillness and resonance, can enter that space in-between. Condücerēs are bridges. They move between realms not by force, but by frequency. Their access to Mortimar is not a gift, it is a calling remembered. Mortimar responds to them as the ether responds to a tuning fork. These interactions often unlock doorways, both internal and external, allowing Condücerēs to access deeper levels of consciousness, spiritual memory, or even healing power. Distilled spirits serve as tools for them. Each type of spirit (whiskey, gin, brandy, and others) acts like a lens or key. When consumed with presence and love, they resonate with specific aspects of Mortimar, revealing truths, dissolving illusions, or summoning ancestral echoes.

A Story that is not a Story.
Mortimar is not a narrative to follow. It is a threshold to cross. These stories... ancient, haunting, beautiful, terrifying... are more than entertainment. They are transmissions. You are not merely a reader. You are a participant. A remembering. A witness to your own reflection, if you dare look.
